Dr. Palmen provides direct billing of medical insurance claims for psychiatric evaluation and treatment through a medical billing service. Although Dr. Palmen does not generally participate in insurance company networks, most medical insurance policies provide for “out of network” coverage.
Estimated copays may be paid by credit/debit card, check, or cash at the time of service, and a comprehensive statement will be provided on a monthly basis through the medical billing service when a balance is due.
Medical expense reimbursement funds often cover all but a small fraction of costs, and some patients find tax-deferred health savings accounts or flexible spending accounts convenient when planning for treatment that may extend over longer periods of time.
